Current Ministries

Each summer, Silver Maple host a Church Camp.  Silver  Maple conducts camps for children, teens, and the entire family. Youth  camps are specially designs for kids, ages 8-18. Support is provided by  college-age and older, experienced counselors. Family camp was developed  for families of all sizes and ages, providing flexible schedules that  accommodate for each family's needs.

Students in grades 3rd-12th work on events throughout the year. Easter weekend they go to Kansas City and show off what they worked on, and fellowship with other students.

Each summer we put on a VBS for kids ages 4yr to 6th grade. It is usually held in July. 

This is a women's ministry. The ladies get together once a month. They have lunch, bible study and work on something for the community. 

The men meet one Saturday a month for breakfast and a devotional 

Every Easter we have an Easter egg hunt for all our kiddos in 6th grade and below. 

We offer both Sunday morning and Wednesday evening Bible Class for all ages!

We have started volunteering to help at the homeless shelter in Newton.  We serve 3-4 nights every 10 weeks. Our congregation signs up to prepare a meal and serve each of those nights. Our youth group usually takes one night to prepare and serve a meal. This has been a great service project. 

Every December we hold a gingerbread house party for students up to 6th grade. Each student gets to decorate and take home their own gingerbread house!
